The Talent Myth and Guitar Zero by Gary Marcus

Guitar Zero is part memoir, part guitar legends biography, and part scientific examination of how musical skills are acquired.  Like "BOUNCE: The Talent Myth," by Matthew Syed, it reveals why perseverance and dedication trumps natural gifts.  While talent exists, it is not as important as practice.  So anyone can learn how to play, and whether you become the next Jimi Hendrix or not isn't as important as opening yourself to new things and improving your life by doing so. Author Gary Marcus also reads.
